Travel connections of Kvarner and Kvarner bay, Croatia

Kvarner has an excellent geographical location with good transport connections by road, rail, plane, and sea with ferry lines. Railway traffic is organised with two railway lines that go from Ljubljana and Zagreb. You can come to Kvarner with an aeroplane too. Most important airports on Kvarner are: Airport Rijeka located on the Krk island (international airport), and two small sport airports: Mali Lošinj and Grobnik. During tourist season there are regular charter flights as well as flights from low-cost carriers to Kvarner. Krk island is connected to the coast with a bridge. There are also ferry connections from the coast to Kvarner islands. You can come with ferry lines to Cres, Lošinj and Rab.There are also connections between islands that are going from Valbiska, Merag and Lopar. Most practical way of traveling to Kvarner is by car or bus because Kvarner has good connection with the rest of the Croatia.
