Travel connections of Northern Dalmatia, Croatia

Northern Dalmatia in Croatia has very good travel connections with the rest of the Croatia and Europe. During the season there are quite frequent ferry and air lines that are travelling on daily basis. Most practical way of travelling to Northern Dalmatia is by car. The shortest route is through Karlovac and Bosiljevo by highway Dalmatina. The simplest way of travelling by car is directly from Zagreb to Zadar. Main tourist destinations of Northern Dalmatia are also very good connected by bus lines. Since Zadar has good connections with the rest of the Croatia and Europe there are direct bus lines from Ljubljana, Slovenia and Belgrade, Serbia. If you decide to travel by train there is train station in Zadar. Railroad in North Dalmatia is connecting Zadar on other train lines through Knin and Benkovac. Ferry lines drive on daily basis during the tourist season and are linked through Zadar with Rijeka, Hvar, Dubrovnik and Split. If you are travelling by aeroplane you will arrive to Zadar Airport which is located 8 km from the train station in Zadar.
