Natural attractions of Central Dalmatia

Biokovo Nature Park on the same mountain abounds in flora and fauna in protected species and is among the most picturesque landscapes in the Adriatic. Especially interesting is botanical garden called Kotisina, a horticultural monument for nature conservation. On Biokovo there are several mountain huts for the visitors.
Blue cave on the island Biševo is a natural phenomenon. Its length is around 24 m and 12 m wide. The bluish glow of sunlight on the walls of the cave and underwater bridge at a depth of about six meters make this cave a tourist attraction.
Red Lake in the Dalmatian hinterland is a karst cave filled with water. According to some data, it is the deepest lake in Europe (281 m), the resulting collapse of the arch above the pit.
